Bernard calcimetry method

Calcimertery is the quantitative and qualitative measurement of soils or drilling samples to determine the amount  of carbonate in the sample and the type of carbonate rock such as (limestone, dolomite, and marl….etc.), it’s used widely in agriculture engineering and mud logging. Bernard calcimeter is a simple device to determine the CaCo3 (calcium carbonate) content percentage . The sample is placed in the flask provided, and hydrochloric acid is poured into a sample tube. After the hydrochloric acid has reacted with the sample, the carbon dioxide formed by the reaction pushes the water from the graduated burette into the glass-level container.
